Hey, it's Julia! Welcome to my first blog post. This is my introduction to the world of publishing, and this is your introduction to me as a writer. So let me tell you about my current project, and a little bit about what inspired it.
My debut novel, Rialta, is a fantasy romance book that teenage readers (young and old) will be able to enjoy, but really, it's meant for anyone looking for a fantasy world with no faeries or spiritistic magic, a romance book with no smut, and a new found family dynamic to obsess over.
Imagine the humor and sass of the Percy Jackson series, characters as amazing as Kaz, Inez, and Nina in Six of Crows- all in a world as magical as the ones in Tangled or Frozen.
So what is this book about?
No one has seen the royals of Moorkavia in fifteen years. Princess Gwen was a child when her father was betrayed and killed by his own guard, instilling in her a lifelong distrust of those closest to her. Despite this, she agrees to travel to Rialta and try to form a marriage alliance with the prince there. Why would she do such a thing instead of locking herself in her room and reading books all day? Because her kingdom is on the brink of collapse and she's not a terrible person and (dramatically) it's the only way. At least, the only way her mother, Queen Eira, is willing to try. Plus, Gwen is excited about the opportunity to finally see life outside Moorkavia.
UNFORTUNATELY Gwen is not the only princess to show up to the palace to try and get Will to marry her- Calida, the gorgeous, flirty, and ADHD princess of Niran is also there. Will they become friends? Will they become enemies? Who will Prince Will pick by the end of summer?
Rooamnce. Frenship. The beaach. I did not get enough sleeep last night. Have I finally convinced you to read my book, or at least add it on Goodreads so you can find it later?
I love you and I'm sleep deprived,
Julia
